Most live by default and just try to get by day to day. A few others live by choosing their own path. They are the few who realize that it is their choices that make everything happen every day. They take the responsibility for who and what they are and make themselves into whatever they want to be. They know there is no dodge, no excuse and no escaping reality or responsibility for ones actions. They are also the happiest and most successful in life. (I don't equate money to happiness or success)

Like most, I'm always making choices by decision and by default. We rarely notice the ones we make by default, though they're the majority. Circumstances play a part in everything - but I've never been a victim of anything or anyone, apart from myself. And I can't hold a grudge for that!

The truth? Nobody is always running free like characters in fairytales. We all have circumstances and defaults that we must go through to get what we want. That's the circumstance we all want to avoid.

if the truth were easy to do, everyone would be doing it. obviously this is not the case. i think its futile to live as a victim of circumstance and not ever take your own matters into your own hands. i prefer to be constantly making choices to get me to the point i want to be at rather than just waiting around for something to occur that might never. one can waste a life waiting around for whatever...

It is not easy to do because people don't always do what
they want or intend to do. I might accept your actions,
but what if you didn't intend to act in a particular way.
In other words, if I accept everything you do I would
also except the potentially wrong things you do which
you might prefer I not accept; should I accept you doing
things the hard way or should I not accept it and inform
you on how to do things the easy way. This is where the
difficulty arises because we might disagree on what
is the easy way and what is the hard way. Therefore,
I might not accept something which I believe is the
hard way and you believe is the easy way, and this
is potentially unacceptable.

I think we can only take responsibility for all our own actions, it would make no sense to take responsibility for everyone's actions that do affect us directly or indirectly. We have to learn to make choices and be responsible and accountable for them...... and at the same time, develop an ego-free attitude of acceptance of all that happens, rather than search for excuses.... because excuses have a habit of covering up our own errors, follies and wrongs as well, which can only lead to our stagnation or retardation.
Every morning I resolve to follow the ideal path as mentioned above...... meaning thereby that I know by every nightfall that I have failed to practice it properly. Total acceptance is indeed extremely tough.
Once again, a wonderful question.... my Star!!

We all live life default to a point, we have to go to work to fend for ourselves. We have to eat, be cleansed, have thousands of emotional problems during our lives that we can not escape, pain, love, joy, patience, eagerness.
What we become is up to us, but it must not stray from the boundaries of the way the society works.
