There is no average. It all depends on how much elecrticity you use. Some people in my area pay as little as $20/ month to $600-800/ month.

I have a 2 bed flat and share with one other. We bathe or shower daily, run the washing machine about 2 times a week, run 2 TV's moderate amount (an hour a day or less), microwave, fridge freezer but are very careful about lights and heating. My bills are £120 for water (fixed amount), £35 a month gas, £25 a month electric. Not sure why some people have quoted you £1000 a year, that seems pretty high but if you use your electrical stuff lots and have the heating on a lot then I guess it would easily be that much. Have fun in your new home!

there's no averages. You can find the exact council tax for the property from the local council. water should be metered, can be anything from £20 to £80 a month depending on how much you use. Same for electricity and gas. Broadband and line rental about £40, TV licence £12, insurance about £15. Also remember food. sounds really cramped, four of you in a two bed. Make sure you have a solid contract for when someone wants to leave or if a couple split.

That's tough to avg. not knowing your water useage, and daily habits.. I do however have some tips in saving energy.. I was able to cut our electric bill in half doing simple things... I only run one major appliance at a time. For example if I'm doing laundry I run only the washer and when it's time to dry I pretreat all the clothes fill the laundry tub and let the clothes soak until the dryer is done.. My clothes come out cleaner as well. I only run the dishwasher at night on time delay and only when its full.. The water isn't being used, although it's being heated, so there's a savings there too.. Unplug any unecessary appliances they still draw electricity... cell phone chargers, countertop appliances... Also, turn off the computer when not in use and replace all your lightbulbs with CFL energy saving lightbulbs per bulb replaced is an avg. savings of $60 per/yr. also if you have a water heater if you turn it down to 120 degrees it will save on your gas bill... Also, insulate your water heater the water will stay hotter longer w/o less heating time... When you get your electric dryer make sure you clean the lint trap after every load and keep the vent clear.. Hope that help/good luck

I don't know what you mean by 2/3 sharing. But, a lot depends on the type of house, insulation, age of home, type of appliances, size of home, weather in your area, etc.... BUT, with that said, on average I would think a gas/electric bill is about $150 per month (averaging all months, some less, some more) and an average water bill is around $45 per month. So you'd be looking at around $200 per month for all 3. But again, if you keep your home very warm in winter and very well-air-conditioned in summer, your bills coudl be double that.. If you have bad insulation in an old home, it could be triple that. If you are looking at homes to buy, ask to see copies of the current owner's utility bills. That will give you a better idea than any help I can offer you.

as with everything else these days, all utilities are outrageously high. you don't say what part of the country you live in, but here in Texas things have more than doubled in the last year. my husband and i live in a small, two bedroom house, try to be as conservative as possible, keeping most of the lights off, only doing laundry once a month if we can get away with that, keeping the A/C off until with can't breath from the heat and our bills are still costing more than the house payment. i don't cook that much or use the oven as we bar-b-que allot, or use the micro wave.(it's only the two of us) we have had the gas turned off for the summer as the water from the tap is hot anyway and we don't need the furnace this time of year. my water bill this month was just under $75.00 and electric near $150.00. a gas bill would be nearly as high. i fully expect to pay over 500.00 for electric when we have to run the A/C 24 hours a day. i don't even want to think about having to water the lawn.
your stove an the clothes dryer are going to eat up most of your electric bill. depending on whether your hot water heater is gas or electric, that will add $$$ to your bills. i suggest using the new incandescent light bulbs throughout your home. they cost much more to purchase, but will save big bucks on your bill. also they last up to 5 years, where the regular bulbs burn out about every 6 weeks. your utility companies will have ways for you to cut the cost of your bills if you ask them.
i hope this helps you some, don't want to scare you, however it doesn't look like things are going to get any less exspensive in the future only going to get higher.
God bless the little guy!!!!!!!!
