Head slightly elevated, about a 45 degree angle in my arms. I did not put a bib on my child to drink a bottle, just used a burp rag when burping.

Nice thing about bottle feeding is you can hold the baby so that you are comfortable, usually with your stronger arm holding under the babies back, with his head in the crook of your arm.

Use a bib is he is spilling some, or just a receiving blanket is fine.

Remember to wind him well during and after the feed.

they can wear a bib or not, its up to you. Hold he baby in your arms, with the head slghtly elevated. Offer the bottle, but don't force it in. If the babyresists, tease the babies lips with the nipple, get a few drops of milk on the lips. Baby will refelxivly open the mouth, then put the bottle in. Good luck!!

i got here upon those astonishing bottles from the 1st Years observed as BreastFlow bottles. they have a twin nipple layout that simulates suction and compression only like a breast. The outer nipple is comfortable and formed like a breast, the interior nipple acts like the milk ducts. the toddler gets small sips until the outer nipple fills up, then it rather is basically like a letdown with a gush so so you might chat. There are even drainage tabs on the outer nipple to permit fluid to return into the bottle. I breastfeed and have not have been given any issues of nipple confusion with this bottle. it would be a greay thank you to wean from the breast to bottles to boot. toddler will nonetheless have the texture of a breast, and additionally you would be waiting to maintain yours tucked away. they seem to be somewhat high priced although and close to impossible to come across in shops (i think of it would be a sparkling product). you could organize them on-line.
