yesterday i saw an answer and below that answer it said edit: and there was another answer. i wanted to see if the answerer did that or whether the asker got to see everything the answerer wrote.
i knew if i asked it this way the first time the question would be too long and people would skip it.
thanks for those that did it. i know it was confusing and because of the way some of you answered, i'm still confused as to what the asker sees if you edit.

People can completely change their answers right up until a best answer is chosen or it goes to a vote. Hope that ends your confusion:)
