You should talk with your doc. or Planned Parenthood, they can advise you about what works best for your body or situation.

Yeah, like the others said, abstinence is the only 100% coverage for not getting pregnant. But there are a lot of other methods that come pretty close to 100%
IUDs seem to be the most effective out of all of them, at about 99.3% protection, then birthcontrol pills/patch/shot is about 98%. Condoms are about at a 93% assuming they're used correctly and that number goes up to about 97% if you use spermicide with the condom.
There are a ton of methods of birth control. go to www.plannedpartenthood.com and read up on them if you want, or just go down to your local planned parenthood and talk to them about which method would be best for you. Your parents don't have to know as long as you can pay for it yourself, and if you're under 18, you get a pretty good discount.
Hope I helped some!

I've been researching which birth control is right for me and I found that Depo-Porvera is the most effective birth control. It is 99.7% failproof. Unlike the pill and patch, the only thing you have to worry about is making sure you get the next shot 11-13 weeks after the first one and so on.

I am quite fond of Yaz birth control. Its a low dose (20 mcg of estrogen) so theres a lot less side effects. Also, Yaz only has a 4 day period rather than the traditional 7 days with birth control... so that means a lighter and shorter period =] Its helped me tremendously with my SEVERE PMS and is helping my skin a lot too.
Good luck!

There is no best birth control other than abstinence. It is what works best for you and your lifestyle. They all work the same so non is better per say than others.

It really depends on the woman. I was on Yasmin for several years and did very well on it, but someone else I know took it and didn't do well on it at all. You might have to try different ones or ask your doctor which he/she thinks would be best for you. Some are better for women who have certain disorders/problems (i.e. women who have PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome in general do better on monophasic pills -- ones that have the same hormone and the same level throughout the time you take them).

it really depends on the person because the pill reacts differently to everyone. when i started yasmin 28 i was fine but i know a few people that were sick as dogs. it's best to talk to your doctor about which one is best, but make sure to tell them if you have migraines, the first few birth contol brands i took made me have migraines alllll the time. hope this helps!
