What are you opinions on this book. It was recommended to me as a summer read.

I've never read it, but it's on my list of books I would like to buy when I get money. I think it's good for inspirations, and reading it with 'someone' in mind.

disregard what the one above me said...they aren't a woman so obviously they can't look at the book in the way we are supposed to. I've read a passage from it that I knew in the back of my head, but it wasn't until it was in front of my eyes that I realized this. (Better than nothing isn't good enough anymore. I'm worth more than scraps of your time).

I think that as in all books like that there are lessons to be learned and some good information to be gleaned. The problem is people are not cattle and they don't respond to things in exactly the same way and women sometimes don't realize they are writing off a diamond in the rough just because he doesn't send the right vibe or do the expected thing.

(I hope it doesn't take you an entire summer to read one book...I read that entire book in two days...I just had to see what the author had to say about the topic, since the title is presumptuous for a female author who thinks she knows the minds of men...)
But seriously...
It's a goofy self-help book for women (at best a reinforcement of what you hopefully already know) that tries to emphasize the fact that women set themselves up for a fall in relationships by expecting and demanding WAY TOO MUCH from the men in their lives, who couldn't possibly live up to those impossibly high demands and expectations...
I'll summarize the whole message of the book for you right now, and save you the wasted time of actually reading it...

"Stop doing that!!!..."
"You're only hurting yourself...!!!"
"You're emasculating and pissing off the men folk...!!!
"Quit being such a Prima Donna...!!!"

(any questions?)

Now...

"How 'bout dinner and a movie?!?"

I've not read it. It's overall point is good but like tha previous post said, every guy is different and every situation is different so you can't always go by what the book says.

I personally would not read it.. self fulfilling prophecies. Its rather negative why would you want to introduce that into your life? Be happy, enjoy life, and if "he' isn't into you, i'm sure there will be tons of guys who are.. no need to start looking for little quirks or reasons to say "wow this guy must not like me" dating is hard enough as it is.

**** i'm into you.. you look fine baby
