Best interest rate for this amount - unfortunately it's in 500 Euro notes - have my own bank account and have proof of where money came from - PO don't deal in 500 Euro notes nor do many of the high street travel agents. Halifax (personal account) refuse to deal with this exchange as they weren't the supplier!!!
I'm a UK citizen and am in receipt of the notes after freelance work for a well known relief-aid charity in Asia.

I've had a look at on-line companies/banks who deal in large amounts - are they any good and safe to use??

I'm not self-employed - just very lucky to be in right place at right time to do multi risk assessments

I assume you are self-employed ?

Dealing is CASH is a red flag to UK Tax office .. you COULD go to Airport Arrivals lounge and change them a few at a time... you will need to show your passport ..

I suggest you just pay them into your Business Account. At year end do your accounts as normal and pay the Tax due.

The cost of converting from Euro to ££ will be an allowable Business expense.

Is there a casino nearby, they usually give good rates and don't ask alot of questions.
