How about looking into something like this? This has both MPH and KMH readings on the speedo.

It's an inexpensive conversion, but it DOES change the color of your gauge.
The other way is to locate a whole instrument cluster and physically swap out the whole unit.
US cars have both MPH and KMH. http://www.steerbythrottle.com/hccyong/forum/cluster_alpha_160mph_white_55_tick.jpg
Canadian cars have just KMH. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sotos328/265423299/
You can try ordering a used cluster from either countries to suit your needs.

the bmw may cost more but if u are buying new all service is included in the warantyfor 4 years 48k u only have to put gas in it as far as raw horse power goes the mustang has more but it will not hold the road as well as the bmw for normal every day driving the 3 series has more than enough horse power to get around just about anything the gas milage is good to very good i own an m3 that drinks a bit more than the 325 or 330 the ride is smoother and as a nice benefit if u are buying new u can choose to take delivery in spartenburg sc and go through a test track and learn how to drive it go test drive both models and see which one u like best i would suggest that u hit some roads with curves and put some leg into it u will see the difference for gold dragon u might want to try to tell that to the mustang owners in tampa who try to take on my luxery car and get smoked from 3rd gear on ive left a couple of vettes sitting at the light scratching their heads also

the conversion is x1.61. Therefore take 30 mph x 1.61 = 48 kph or for rounding =50kph.
normal rounding equals following.
25mph = 40kph
30mph = 50kph
50mph = 80kph
60mph = 100kph
So do the math and I know that 60mph = 96.6kph but think about it, you won't get a speeding ticket as easy if you follow the normal rounding process. We used this in Canada when we converted to metric.

50kph = about 32 mph
70kph = about 46 mph
80kph = about 50 mph
90kph = about 57 mph
100kph = about 62 mph
1 kilometer = about .62 miles
1 gallon = 3.85 liters
I used to have a web site converter but it has disappeared.
Hope this helps you get started anyway...At least it should keep you out of trouble...
I am an American whom lives in Ontario, Canada and know pretty well the normal conversions. I had to learn them because my vehicle is in miles not kilometers.
