You can not stop the dust. Frequent dusting and vacuum are answers.Try to live in dust.That is what everyone does knowingly or unknowingly.

dust with a fabric softener sheet. It is supposed to change the electrical charge on the surface of things so that dust does not stick... but I think it must be done often (at least once a week if not more). I hate dust and dusting, but find this has helped... especially with my electronics.

I noticed my boyfriends house was very dusty, even a few hours after I would dust. I asked him when he last changed his furnace filter. To my surprise he said, never. We changed it ASAP and it cut down tremendously on the layer of dust in the house, and on his frequent sneezing!

If you have lots of books that could be the culprit. Try closed bookshelves as well as a ionizing air filter.
