My wife and I are planning a trip to Vegas and we are wondering how much money we should bring, we arent really going to gamble but we do want to see a couple of shows and go to a couple of night clubs. We are going to be there for 4 days 3 nights and we want to have a good time without gambling.

Plan to spend up to $100 per ticket for any of the top shows. A nice dinner in Vegas will cost you upwards of $75 dollars, and much more if you plan on drinking.

If you've already paid for your hotel in advance you still need to plan on paying for cab rides, shopping, drinks (they aren't free unless you gamble) plus you'll still want an extra $200 or so for even a small amount of gambling, unless you absolutely plan not to gamble at all.

All in all I'd plan on bringing an extra $1200-$1500 for 4 days of Vegas fun.

Thanks for making me laugh - "we arent really going to gamble" is SO funny. So many people say that. But very few manage it. That's not a personal attack, it's just the reality of Vegas.

When my (46yo) brother came over from England, to stay with me, I took him to Vegas. He's been anti-gambling his entire life. After 2 days in Vegas, we nearly missed the flight back home to Phoenix, because I couldn't get my brother out of the casino (I'd already lost my limit & was ready to go).

I would suggest you take as little ready cash as you manage with. You will ALWAYS find ATM's pretty much everywhere in Vegas.

Bring however much you are comfortable leaving in Vegas. No more.
