I have an idea of the meaning, but would like others opinion on it as well. Thanks.

It means that it is much better to read books in original language. However, really gifted translators do their best to keep form and spirit of an author's work. It is very difficult thing to do, especially, for poetry translation. In this situation, a translator is a poet. His/her task is to apply his own talent and,at the same time, to keep poetical style of an original. So, I cannot fully agree with the statement you cited. It depends on quality of a translation.

If you do not want to continue the talk with someone on any particular thing or you have lost your patience in talking to him to make him understand then you could say "get lost" ! This means to make him to get away from your place and sometime said in harsh tone would mean you don't want to see him forever! In general, the idiom GET LOST' can be said with any degree of overtone depending on the intensity of argument and to bring an end to it by saying "get lost !

It is an expression which is the result of anger and disgust over another person's words deeds or acts of omission or commission. The speaker through these words expresses the discomfort by the presence of and displeasure over the cause as stated above, and wants the other person's absence from the speaker's presence.

because the rhymes are not perfectly reproduced when poetry is translated,and since poetry is based on rhymes, translation will somehow corrupt it
