Jason didn't scare me I always thought he was cool but Freddie scared the **** out of me when I was little!.

I have always liked the friday the thirteeth movies better, but they can get old. Especially if you have the whole set. Don't get me wrong I like the Freddie movies too. I going to get the whole NM on Elm St. box set soon. But honestly, the halloween movies are my favorite.

I agree with the Mike Meyers answer. Jason and Freddie didn't scare me at all. Yeah, there were the cheesy "pop out of the closet" moments, but Mike Meyers was evil and he just seemed to appear, which made it scarier. Halloween (1 not any of the sequels) is by far one of the top 5 scariest movies of all time. My list would also include:
Omen
Shining
Salem's Lot
Fog
Psycho

I love them both and have met the real actors as well. Freddy was always more funny then scary. Plus he can only come in dreams. "That big muther.... in the corn field is who we should be afraid of" Jason cant die but Freddy can be forgotten!!!!!!!!!

Jason is so stupid. Freddie was much better even though both plot lines where simple, Jason was a joke.
