My dad always complained about a hill we'd walk up in Penlan, Swansea. Always saying the same thing at a particular gate, about a third of the way up. So one time as we reached this gate, i said "This hill bloody kills us! Don't it dad?"
I saved some money by doing odd-jobs around our area. I was aged about 7. One day i decided to buy my mother a gift with the money. So off i went to an antiques shop at the bottom of the hill, not far away. When i returned, i placed her gift on the mantelpiece and sat down as she'd been calling us in. As soon as she entered the room, she gave me a right bollocking saying "Where the hell have you been?!" I was calling you in for dinner!" :(
Another time she sent me for sausages. Unfortunately, i was too scared to ask her to repeat what I'd thought she'd asked for. So upon my return, i handed her the 'saucers' and there was another bollocking :)
I did manage to return the saucers to the confused shopkeeper. Lol

my grandmother loves to tell the story of the time when i was 2 , she was working at a bakery a few blocks from our house. apparently i wanted to go see her, so i walked down there by myself and walked into the bakery. she said she heard people laughing and she come to see what was going on and there she found me standing in the middle of the bakery naked...a smile on my face as i said -- Hi, Grandma!! That was over 30 yrs ago and she still laughs about it...

I made dinner for the family. I cooked one thing at a time and set it on the counter, so by the time it was all done it was mostly cold.

My mom walked into the living room where i was supposed to be watching Bozo, but found me leaning against the TV. The screen said "We are experiencing Technical Difficulties, PLEASE STAND BY" So i did.
