Highs, lows, ups, downs, left, rights..(I think you get my point)...The one thing you ALWAYS have to hold onto is your identity!
Remember who you are and where you came from, keep your feet on the ground.
Be proud of who you are, and not afraid to show people the real you! As the saying gos...Je suis comme je suis!
Don't be influenced by all of the materialism that surrounds you! Be the better person and follow the right paths...
Concentrate on making a difference and working hard to achieve your success!
With mistakes also comes the opportunity to learn! Lessons are vital, to ensure you don't repeat your mistakes! They also help the people around you learn too.
Only 14 years passed, but that's an insight into my gained knowledge, so far!
Regards. :-)

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."
I used a quote because I couldn't say it any better.

Never take for granted that whatever good deeds you have done or said in the past, either to friends or family members, are without flaws. Every day's interactions may appear normal and cool to you but not to others. You never know. No one will tell. Only when (somehow) everybody sits down and let it all out will one knows the truth. Sometimes it is very hurtful to discover that your good intentions did not go well with the recipient, especially when you have to sacrifice certain things for yourselves just to accommodate others' requests or asking. Always be mindful of what you are about to say. Ask yourselves whether you should comment even when asked. It can, one day, be used against you. Then the regret is too late. Moderation and without prejudice and do not commit or open yourselves for others to single you out.

I've learned that most of the people who we see as "evil" are more often misunderstood than genuinely evil. From that, I've learned to never assume someone is deliberately being negative or malicious, but to assume - at least until shown otherwise - that they're simply unaware of how their actions are affecting others. Simple ignorance is a prefferable explanation to deliberated cruelty. I can't tell you how much smoother my life has gone since I realized I don't need to get all up in arms over every little offense - most people won't -try- to offend you, so when they do, give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an accident. Then when someone shows up who is small minded enough to -want- to offend you, you can write them off without batting an eyelash.

Hello,
(ANS) That the meaning of events or experience can only be perceived in retrospect. That you cannot understand the deeper significance of something you do in the present or in the future. You cannot know the meaning of something whilst you are involved in it, nor before hand. Therefore don't waste time & energy worrying about something that you cannot change or which is yet to take place.
Life's real challenge is to remain in the "here & now" of each present moment, & to bring all your focus & awareness to this moment. Easy for me to say yet a lifetime to realize.
Try to make each moment complete without leaving any loose ends undone, move to the next moment without dragging the previous one with you.
Ivan

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
I recently lost a nephew who I remember as a happy, successful, wonderful person. I failed to help him understand that he had a family that cared about him and especially that nothing that he might have done or was happening in his life would change our love for him. I now tell everyone I care about that simple truth.

Don't sweat the small stuff.Don't worry all the time about what other people think of you. The people you care about know the truth about what you're really like and will understand your actions. The rest of the world doesn't matter.
