You gotta love grandparents......

Can you place the playpen in clear view of where you are doing dishes or laundry? Can you sing to her, while you do dishes?

My parents spoiled my son in much the same way. It will cause you to put up with some crying, at first. But soften the blow by singing or making eye contact with her and talking to her while you do these other tasks. Often times if they can tell they have your attention, they will calm.

Best of luck to you ~

well, first off you can't spoil an infant. But at 6 months she is likey experiencing some separation anxiety. If you are away for a good part of the day (i'm assuming your parents have her so you can go to work or school), it only natural that she wants you to pay full attention to her when you are home. Why don't you do the chores while she sleeps, or while she is at your parents? Give her some noisy toys, that will buy you a few minutes.

You might also look into wearing your baby! I decided to get a baby sling with my second baby so that I'd have free hands for a toddler and for housework.

Baby slings are great because the baby is up with you, looking around, moving with you, and interacting. They love it. Your baby also learns more being in your arms. Plus, your hands are free so that you can do the chores!

You don't have to spend a lot of money, in fact I've linked a site where you can make your own for a few dollars.

Good luck!

Raising a child is never easy, and it is really tough on grand-parents not to spoil the grandkids which is your daughter. I don't know enough about your situation to really give you a good answer but I would discuss this with your parents. Calmly and openly. It sounds like your a single parent, and need the support your parents can give you. Heck they raised you, and I know you want what is best for your daughter so try talking it over with them. God Bless.

Play with her for a while once you get home, once it's time for you to clean up let her cry for a little while. No more than 10 min though.Every ten min pick her up and play with her or rock her or something.
