Okay, now I'm curious for more guy responses. It almost seems as if the majority of women who answered take a while to fall asleep, and the men sleep as soon as they go to bed. The question came about b/c my husband and I differ (he sleeps right away, I doze off after a while). I wonder if it really is a gender thing. Keep the answers coming!

For the most part I can just fall asleep quickly. There are even reports of me doing this in mid-conversation, and while someone stopped the conversation just to run to the bathroom real quick. I think even when I have a ton on my mind I can still sleep somewhat quickly.

Most of the time I would say that I fall asleep right away. If I have something on my mind then it takes a while.

O.K. I work away from home for 28 days and am home for 14 days when i am home for my 14 days and next to my wife i fall fast asleep but when i am at work it takes me forever to sleep and usually need a sleep aid.

i usually take a long long time to get to sleep, but im really curious about this too now that you mention it. guys do seem to fall fast asleep while us women just lay there until our bodies are too exhausted to blink and stay awake anymore =]

I have to take 2 sleeping pills every nite and fall asleep within one hour.

i have no problem with sleeping. i fall asleep as soon as i get to bed like there's a switch in my back.

I can go to sleep anywhere: in a chair, on the floor, in bed with the lites on and the TV blaring.
