SATs are a part of your application to college, but you will never get in based on SATs alone.

You must have a whole 'package.' That means: a very high GPA with lots of AP and Honors courses; good SATs; and a limited amount of extracurriculars in which you did something really amazing -- like repeated gold medals in state competition or high ranking in national competitions. Something that shows that you are not only a grind, but a leader, a creative competitor with ambition.

Ten thousand kids with everything mentioned above are going to be applying to Princeton this year. They are only going to send acceptance letters to 2500. So what have you got that sets you above the crowd? What have you done that makes you better than the other excellent kids who want that seat that you're trying to sit in?

Sat's don't have verbal anymore its math critical reading and writing. The scores meet the requirements for Harvard Princeton, and Columbia but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to get in. Nice score though.

not to burst your bubble, because those are great scores that anyone would surely die for, but they are a little below average for those schools. Even having said that, people who score a perfect 2400 on the SATs sometimes do not get into those schools. There are so many people applying for so few spots, that they are being extremely selective in looking for kids who are the "whole package". if you have tons of community service, show a strong interest and leadership in one or two areas, show a strong interest in the college (visit several times, def. interview) you might better your chances, but still, i wouldn't make those the only schools that you apply to. however, you should still apply to them, because you honestly never know. besides, you can get into so many great schools with those scores (you might wanna try to raise your math to a little closer to the critical reading - most schools don't know what to do with writing, but when you get into ivy league type competition, they do take those into effect) honestly, i wish you the best of luck, and hope that you find a school that is right for you, not a school that has an awesome name.

wow we got the exact same score but different numbers in each section (750,730,720). but yeah your scores are good enough, meaning you're in the 25-75 percentile bracket. they're a little bit under average but if you have everything else together, you have a good shot at getting it. good luck.
