I'd love to try the local cuisine . It's so much a part of the country 's culture , i wouldn't miss experiencing it. When i visit any new place , the top on my list of things would be to explore the place, experiment with the local cuisine and to get to know the people , their culture and lifestyle.

Anyone not open to the local cuisine, is missing a very large part of the travel experience. For an American, why would I EVER go to a McDonald's abroad.
Different cultures have vastly different foods. Even the north and south of a country can vary widely. The Brits have wonderful bread products. Rolls, buns. Their shepherd's pie can beat the socks off of our too! Our fried chicken is better though.
If you enjoy food...broaden your scope and try whatever local flavor you can, right? If you're handy in the kitchen, you can usually figure out how to make it when you get back home. If you're not handy, ask someone. You might learn a new foriegn cooking technique too.
Pardon me...I feel like going and putting on a white apron all of the sudden! hahaha

Depends on which country and what they are serving. Generally speaking, when I go to Italy or France, I will eat in a small Mom and Pop Restaurant , and eat a great home cooked meal

I lived in South Korea for 15 months. The restaurants open onto the alleys with flies going in and out. Meat is hung out in the open. I stuck to pizza and vegetables.

I do like to try local stuff but it might not be the weirdest thing that the country has to offer because I'm a very fussy eater.

When I visited my sis in Spain, I ordered a local pasta and meatballs dish. Bit into a meatball, and it was full of course black hairs! I tend to stick to what I know now

don't have much choice, do you? Let's face it, food is food. But I love visiting small restaurants not only to satisfy hunger, but to take in the locals. That's the best part.
