I met Paris Hilton...well, I didn't really meet her, but I was at Ceasar's Palace in Vegas and I saw her buying underwear (not a pretty sight. Especially because she was like a size negative 13). She just smiled and posed when she saw everybody gathered outside (freak). And I met the Dalai Lama (does that count as a celebrity?) and OF COURSE he was nice. I was only 11 and he put hit hand on my shoulder and I freaked out. I also met Sandra Day O'Connor and Jim Kolbe (former Arizona senator).

I met Tim Allen. Really nice guy. Took the time to show us the set of the show and ask us questions about ourselves.

I've also met various authors over the last couple of years. Do they count as a celebrity? LOL

I met the Bass Player from Van Halen. It was in a casino in Las Vegas. He was playing blackjack at my table. He was super nice to everyone. He signed a few autographs and gave tickets to a few people seated around or just watching. He was quite a gentleman. I cant remember his name.....Michael Anthony? Cant remember for sure. Met Liza Minnelli in a Vegas Casino. She was letting people take photo's with her. I declined to have my photo taken with her.....nothing personal....just didn't want to make that statement. She too, was incredibly kind.

The two most memorable were:

Martha Reeves, at a B-52s concert at Joe Louis Arena in 1990. My date and I and two other friends snuck into the Motown section in the arena's lower bowl during the Ziggy Marley concert (many empty seats in their section). During the intermission, Motown music was being piped into the arena and when "Dancing In The Streets" began playing, a women sitting next to me yelled "Martha!" into the next row, and Martha Reeves smiled and waved to her. I was psyched to be sitting so close to a legend! After the show, as we filed out, Reeves remained in her seat alone. As I passed behind, I could not resist the urge to greet her so I knelt down and said "Martha, would you mind if I gave you a kiss?". She smiled and said "I need one bad, baby!" and donated her cheek for a quick peck! It was such a sweet and memorable moment.

In 1988, I was at a suburban Detroit pub with a buddy, when I noticed Pistons forward Dennis Rodman in the corner shooting "Pop-A-Shot" basketball all by himself. I walked up to him and playfully challenged him to a game, and he smiled and said "sure". We played a couple of games and small-talked, and he was one of the meekest, most congenial people in the place. This was before he left the Pistons' nest and flew by himself to Chicago, to begin his new heavily tatooed life without his professional father figure - Pistons coach Chuck Daly.

I met a band, Skillet. They're pretty popular now, and have been my favorite band for several years. They were all really friendly... My cousin met Jack Black at a party... I think that'd be a really cool experience. I'd love to meet him.

Yeah, Billy Corgan and his then fiance at the after party for Kill Hannah at a bar on Halsted, in Chicago. He was really nice, contrary to popular belief. Greg from KH always invited me to their after parties--that's before they got super famous and started touring all over. I miss them at the Metro! :(

I met Red Fox when I was about nine. He was really nice and took pictures with me and my family. It was an honor to meet him before he died.
