My best friend moved away last year! It was hard at first, but you get used to it! Call her and write to her! Let her know everything that she missed out on! Give every detail and she will feel like she is right there! My other friend goes to camp every summer (the whole summer) I get lonesome, but she writes and I call or we AIM. It's not that bad! While she is away, try to make a new friend, that way when she comes back, you can all three hang out together!

My best friend Pamela died while we were still in High School, she was murdered by her jealous boyfriend. It hit me hard and still does knowing that I will never hear her laugh or experience her beauty and charm ever again. I never allowed myself to become so invested in a freindship since. It's been over 22 years that since I last saw her. I didn't go to the funeral, I couldn't bear to see her like that.
At least your best freind is going away for just the summer, but she will return. Email each other as often as possible and exchange pictures. You will get through the summer just fine.

Long distance relationship for the first 2 1/2 years I was dating my boyfriend.
Yeah, that sucks.
Keep in mind that you will ALWAYS be able to communicate with people thanks to the internet and text messaging. Your friend can email you pictures from her vacation or write you stories and keep you up on all of the crazy things she is (or isn't) doing.
And if you don't talk about everything you do now, when she comes back, you can get together for a day or have a sleepover (if you still do that kind of thing) and talk ALLLLLL about it.

1 month and really a hard time for that. I went for my business trip for a week and then my company asked me stay longer for another project. So I stay in Europe for a month time and I just feel like staying a year there.
