Mostly using it for average gaming (nothing too crazy), music, pictures, net and email stuff

feel free to give me your reasons for whichever one you pick and any suggestions to make them better or any better deals you know of, however please no suggestions for macs, nothing personal against mac users, but i just dont care for them, or for computers that are like $1500 +

Thanks!

Hi there,
Forget the second one, it is way too expensive. The first is good but I have seen a better deal here.

It has built-in webcam, wireless n capability, video memory is a huge 559MB, 2 GB RAM.
What else you need.
Other good deals

You know what, I do also think you should definetly get the Dell. Even though the HP Pavillion definetly seems like a great price...it does not say what kind of graphics card it has. I would think it has an Intel Accelerator 950...which is not what you want. In the Dell... the ATI mobility card is definetly the one I would get for the kind of gaming you want. I am a gamer too (counter strike source + others) and I am looking at laptops with ATI graphics cards in them...so ya the Dell will work. With 2GB!! Even Better! The Dell is the laptop I would get.. but... the Vista Home Basic..I would ask for Vista Home Premium just because the 2GB can definetly hold it and you can do a lot more...and asking for an XP home (if that is what you want to ask) is wat i would do because it doesn't need to much memory to use unlike the Vista's. So the Dell is defiently the one I would get. If your willing to spend that much... :)

the specs sheet of the dell way superior

dedicated graphics are sure handy when gaming

now, 1) the dell has expired, refer to the question > answer to which i have posted 2) how important is portability, cause you are comparing a 15.4" to a 14.1" screen system

as for suggestions > wait till 26th june
checkout dells offers then., sure we can work out intricacies

well the only laptop u might be able to play games on is the dell. the other 1 has integrated graphics which u wont be playing games on. the dell will be able to play games, but on low setting and not next-gen games, but i dont think u would care about that,
