They put phrases like "viva la Juicy Couture" and "It's Raining Couture" all over their products so that when you buy it ur basically a walking commercial! I think this is very smart on their part but still very annoying. any one agree?

Yeah i understand that other brands do it but most of the time is like u can find some products that dont say LV or AE and stuff all over them! I dunno i guess its Juicy Couture that annoys me the most, im not sure why lol.

Of course you do - anything with a symbol or the name of a brand is an advertisment. Did you know Abercrombie& Fitch and Hollister Co. doesn't advertise at all? Except when it comes to their shopping bags (paper) and actual products (clothing, purses, bathing suits). Designer bags and clothing like Louis Vitton, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, Coach, and Chanel are all advertisments - it's a well known ad stradegy.

Do you think if Coach and Chanel hadn't become trends among people like us, they would be successful?

Very clever of Juicy Couture to do that. They know that people will buy their product because it is a sign of status and fashion sense. The thing is, you see it everywhere!!! Nike, Old Navy, Gap, Adidas, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Hollister, Aeropostale, Deisel....everywhere! America is full of people who shop and love it....and clothing companies know that! So, they put their logo on the clothing as a way of advertising, but making it look "cool" at the same time....ridiculous! I totally agree with you!

I agree. Not only wearing Juicy, but what about carrying Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Gucci, Chanel logo bags. It's free advertising for these companies but tacky on those who wear/carry these items!

That's the whole point! Juicy is a status symbol. When you're wearing anything that says Juicy, you're instantly seen as a rich person. That's why people (including moi) love to wear it!

That happens with practically every brand. All American Eagle things have their symbol or AE on it somewhere, all the Channel bags have their CC on them. . . .You either want to buy designer and show off their logo, or not.

Not necessarily. I have 2 pair of JC track pants, and a JC sweatsuit. None of them have ads or anything on them. The only thing the jacket to my sweatsuit has is the "J" on the zipper...

yes, i agree....its the same for other brands too....whenever a brand puts something like that on their products, it's pretty much the same as letting the customer advertise it.

Of course. It's the same on most popular brands--that's how they get people to buy more.
