A know a girl who at age 18 had a 2-year relationship with a 35-year old married guy. She was hoping it would lead to something permanent. At age 20, she dropped him and had a 2-1/2 year relationship with a 54-year old married guy and she was hoping this would lead to something permanent. Partway through this second relationship, she met a 52-year divorced guy, who has lots of money. He wined and dined her and about 6 months later, she dumped guy #2 and hooked up with guy #3. Within 2 months they were engaged and 9 months later were married. What would drive a woman to pursue these older guys? Super gold-digging? A total lack of insecurity? Trying to figure this out. Do you see the marriage lasting more than a couple of years?

Sounds like she was looking for a father figure - and one with money looks nicer. She got her sugar daddy and she'll stick with him until someone else captures her attention... or his.

Could be any number of reasons. Some women have "daddy" complexes caused by some weird emotional dependence on their fathers. They could also be attracted by the maturity level. Older men are experienced and know how to treat a woman well. Older men can be more stable and are done playing the field. Older men may seem more secure.

My guess would be the money. But I have to say - I myself am married to someone 16 years older than me. I did not lack a father figure, I did not need a "sugar daddy" - he just knew how to treat me right.

Again - that's just me - since there was mention of #3 having a lot of money - my guess would be money. Any older man is willing to spend it all just to have a young "prize" wife on his arm. Sad.

quite easy really, the girl is looking for security as a father figure. I think her life was or is empty because she didn't grow up with her father around. And older men is more mature and knows how to treat women, married or not. marrying this man will give her security as a woman not because of his money, some older men who has a failed marriage become this elegant because this are the things that they never did to their wives....

Either she is looking for the better deal all the time or a father figure.
Either way neither relationship will last

More than likely, it is a lack of a fathering image.

Hopefully you are not her victim.

She is young & naive. Her personality is permanently flawed.

OH GROSS!! But money would do it. Lots of money--it makes younger girls seem secure.
