OH OH OH, love it. When people ask me this I say do you really want to know, if not I am fine and you......People really don't care when you tell them you feel bad..............

Most times I honestly am just being polite, at a formal place that is (talking to someone you don't really know like the dentist or whatever). If I'm talking to my friends, I care nine times out of ten, or I'm just trying to stop an awkward silence that came up... So how are you? :)

Just civil, it is annoying when someone answers that with a five minute dialogue.

Its kinda out of habit. I don't pay attention unless they say anything aside from good or fine.. then I'm concerned.

i do actually want to know how that person is .. but it seems like i don't care because that is how nearly everyone starts a conversation
