Some people do not stop asking us why we choose to become gay - and decent documented answers seem to be a total waste of time.
So perhaps not just give an answer they might want to hear ?
I choose to be gay because it was more romantic to have to have to bike 30 miles through fields before finding a spot where we could kiss.

Thanks everyone. I was looking for some replies that could give me ammunation the next time someone asks me that question. I'd love to be able to respond with something ridiculeous if the question is ridiculeous, wise if it seems wise, and so on.
Man, what do we need a training just to be GLBT !

I chose because I wanted to end up in a hospital being told I needed emergency surgery to avoid losing the sight in my right eye...
I chose because I wanted to find the word F** scratched on the trunk lid of my car after leaving a gay bar...
I chose because I wanted to have scars on my wrist after attempting suicide...
and, in spite of these things, I am happy about my choice to be honest with myself and others about my non-choice of being gay.
