I thought it might be caused by not running it at full temperature (to be ecologically friendly) but that didn't help. The manufacturer said refer to the detergent makers but the detergent makers said nothing at all.

Your dishwasher dispenser might not be opening during the cycle, check to see if the dispensers doors are opening properly, if they are not you might have a lime buildup up in your dishwasher that is causing them to malfunction this way, you should treat your dishwasher at least once a week with a cup of undiluted White Vinegar and put it through a full cycle and allow to air dry no heated drying.

Or this could be that your water is not hot enough or you are using a dishwasher detergent that has baking soda as a ingredient these kind I have found do not dissolve properly in the dishwasher and have since stopped using this kind and have found better results, you may also want to stop using those liquid detergents in your dishwasher and switch to the powdered detergents instead your results may improve. Good Luck !

Your dishwasher may just need a bit of cleaning to remove any hardwater buid-up... If you have any powdered drink mix (ice-t, kool-aid, Tang etc...) Sweetened/nonsweetened will work run it through an empty cycle on hot and it will eliminate any build-up.. If you are worried about being eco-friendly run your dishwasher on time delay at night and it will use the hot water that is heated while you are sleeping..! You will notice it on your electric bill the savings.. Also, I switched to electrosol tablets w/ jet dry ball.. They work really well. I only use one. I buy them at Bj's a pkg. of 85 for under $10... It lasts me roughly 3 months.... I only run my dishwasher when it's full, every other day. I hope that helps and good luck

it could be not setting up the dishes in the machine correctly in the fashion they need to be in for maximum efficiency. all dishes should have the water hitting the food area. and never over load the machine.

hope i helped a little bit :)
