FOIL

(x + 7)(x - 4) =

x² + 7x - 4x - 28 =

x² + 3x - 28

If you want to check against

(x + 7)(x – 4)
= x^2 - 4x +7x -28
=x^2 +3x - 28

however, the FOIL method will be helpful to your problem
F_ means you must multiply the first terms
O- then the outer term
I-inner term
L- lastly, the last term...
