Duct tape, like most other types of tape, is not made to be reused. It is made to hold things permanently until removed. Once it gets damp, you would be lucky to remove it at all.

Duct tape is meant for a one time application. Sometimes it will re-adhere, but it is not a good seal, when it does.

the type of adhesive on the back is meant for semi permanent holding.. Once you try to peal it you loose the strength of the fibres used in the glue and weaken it's hold...
