What length tank did you place them in? What temperature became into the water at? Koi are a type of carp, yet carp at the instant are not effortless to maintain. they are by no potential an aquarium fish. They belong in a pond. those fish get rather great. The puppy save will probable not provide you a unfastened fish. and that they won't even replace the single that died. easily, if it died interior six hours of it occurring your tank, you probably did some thing incorrect. You pronounced it your self, koi at the instant are not effortless to place rigidity on, yet you went and killed it. Koi , lower back, get great. and should not be stored in an aquarium. basic as that. If the fish became into ill, why could it die presently after going into your tank? you probable extra too many chemical compounds to the water. or you didnt cycle your tank. the two considered one of those would desire to be good motives for the loss of existence of the fish. chemical compounds are undesirable for fish tanks. You ward off utilising them once you may. And except your waters ph in surprisingly severe or low, there became into no rationalization for utilising it. lmao. Didnt comprehend you have been the comparable guy desirous to maintain a barramundi. Hilarious. I wager you dont also have a tank over 30 gallons.

koi need a deep pond to develop properly....although i would not think this is your problem.
fish tend to 'huddle' when scared (more chance to survive if in a group)
i think the fact they are in the shallows would rule out birds.
is filtration ok?
there will be more oxygen in the water at the shallows...yes, fish do breath and need oxygen, the gills filter it, basically.
other than that, fish in a pond will 'settle' in winter/colder weather.
if you are in the UK they are probably as sick of the changing weather as we are ;(

its probably the coolest spot in the pond. literally. i have to completely redo my pond because the sun here is cooking the fish that are in there. its only about 3 feet deep, and is always in the sun. im going to get some lilly pads and dig another foot or foot in a half so they can get some better temps and have more shade. you can try the lillys first its just the texas sun is really just too hot down here.
