It depends on the situation. I value your time and the commitment I've made to the meeting. Over the years I've found myself wasting a lot of time waiting for people. I've missed movie times, lost out on theater tickets, missed dinner reservations and when business/work meetings start late that throws off my very busy work day. If its for business or work I fall back on a rule that professors had when I was in college;15 minuets, that's all we had to wait for the prof if they were late for class. If the person I'm meeting with doesn't show by then I go on to the next task or meeting. For my friends and family in social situations I add 5 more minuets. I have adhered to that rule even with cell phones because so often people will call, tell you that they are running a little late, expect that to be acceptable and be even later.

I think the accepted standard is 30 min. I usually a 15 min buffer on that unless the schedual is locked into a timeframe that can't be changed. In that case, the date may have to be aborted. My ex was always 30 min to 1 hr late. She said that making men wait made her feel like she was worth more. I started cutting the grace period down to a strict 20 min. She missed a few dates, too.

Honestly 30-45 minutes because maybe his watch is a little late compared to your so the most is 45 minutes inclusive of travel time and reasons/excuses,but if it would be the first time you guys met then leave that person after 15 minutes because it obviously shows that that person has no initiative in meeting you...

Depending on their character...usually about 20-30 minutes... However I have to say that I am a chronic offender in this area...and all my friends tell me to meet like 30-45minutes before we are actually supposed to meet and then I am pretty much on time... Only thing that I am not late for is work...lol

I always wait till they show up but than l am already to nervous and I ma not very willing to do something with them.I get angry when someone is late because I am always on time. That's not fair. Now my friends are trying to come on time, they know that I don't like waiting!

I would wait different times for different people if it were my daughters I would wait . I would know that there is a good explanation. Friends maybe 30 minutes and then I would leave. Then it's up to them to explain why they weren't there.

Pet peeve for me. I wait 15 minutes and off I go. I understand that life gets in the way but my time is valuable too.
I have friends that actually set their clocks forward 10 minutes like they are going to magically forget it is set ahead, makes me crazy to be kept waiting.
