a very good friend of mine and his young daughter died late april this year. he was single, had sole custody. my town, in victoria, is a small town. his mum came down from south australia and there was a wake in one of the neighbouring towns. later, through a local newspaper, i discovered there was a funeral close to the city for him and his daughter thru her mother. neither the wake or funeral was advertised. the article about the funeral states the place the service was held. would a fone call to the club give me a burial location? the funeral was thru his ex, yet the wake was thru his mum. i went to neither, due to way too many complications. im not sure where to look. the net brings up jumbled info, just link upon link etc

For a small town, there can't be many cemetaries. The Local council can direct you to all of them.

The Cemetary administration can tell if they are there, and what section, row, site number.

Sorry for your loss

You seem to have some information. Use that information and look up "Australian Cemeteries" on the Internet and look up the names in the cemeteries closest to where you believe they may be buried or their ashes located.
