I like true stories... And biographies or autobiographies.

But I also like action.

I've had a taste for science fiction novels since I was ten years old, and now my collection has grown considerably since then. However, if I started reading other books, say action books, I could probably get myself hooked.

Fantasy books--which any reader of sci-fi knows usually has some similar elements of sci-fi--appeal to me as well. But the reason I like sci-fi better is because usually the plot is deeper, the characters develop better (yes, well sci-fi books tend to be longer as well, and with such thick spines, you'd think the characters have more time to come together and develop), and because the setting is often in space, or on another planet, which is always exiting to read about, in my opinion.

If you're new to sci-fi and would like to try reading the genre, I say go ahead. It's a great way to pass time, reading. And I mean any kind of reading, any genre. Reading fiction in particular is great because it takes you away from life for hours at a time.

Enjoy reading!

I usually read everything except murder mysteries and detective related stories. But mostly, its horror/comedy/romance, and sometimes I like some sex in my novels. But thats basically romance I guess.

Horror with believable characters and a plot... No slasher stuff with excessive amounts of gore. Make it feel real, make me believe it's actually happening, and I might read it.

P.S. I'm a horror writer.

I mostly read fantasy and historical fiction, some of which could also be considered romance. I occasionally read biographies and modern fiction.
