I am going on vacation this Thursday and I am on day 30 of my cycle. I feel as if I could start soon but it just isn't starting yet. I have a 7 day flow and that will have me bleeding something awful while on vacation with the husband (no kids in sight!!!) if I start in the next few days.

I need to find a way to make my period start yesterday or I need to find a way to make the 7-day flow a 4 or 5 day flow. Is there any way to do this by this weekend?

Sorry--there is nothing much you can do to stop/alter the length or flow of your period without taking hormonal birth control. : ( I know that's a loss, especially before your kids-free vacation. Pack accordingly and don't forget your pain meds if you've got cramps.

To avoid this situation in the future you could try hormonal birth control. I know nothing about your medical history or whether or not you've been on birth control before, but it works wonders for controling the flow and length and menstration. And it can help with PMS symptoms which, by the way, is wonderful. : )

So the short answer to your question is no, but hormonal birth control will give you more control over your periods.

Much luck--enjoy your vacation!

Unfortunately, you can't. Just make sure to pack alot of tampons/pads and enjoy your vacation.

No. There's nothing you can do other than to make sure you are prepared.

Use a cork, some duct-tape and rubber gloves!
