We will call a number N green if 6 x N contains none of the digits 0,1,2,3 and 4. There are two digits such that every green number contains at least one of them. One of these two digits is 1. What is the other?

Well, since 98 is a green number (6 x 98 = 588), the other digit has to be either 8 or 9. But 93 is also a green number, since 6 x 93 = 558 ==> the other digit is 9.

The answer is 9.

Proof:
93*6 = 558
96*6 = 576
.
