There is some religious requirements quota?
Or a racial discrimination law applied to other groups?
Why other groups are not even represented?

When my uncle was in Germany before WW2 he saw that not many jews were allowed in the mainstream Society, but for many "aryans" there was a preference. It turned to worst with time.

I think it's because of the Jewish culture. Children are taught to love learning from birth. Most holidays are celebrated at home with the family and reading the Torah. Children are raised learning to read Torah in both Hebrew and their native language. Not only is learning emphasized, self-restraint and accountability is also emphasized in order to gain wisdom along with education.

Throughout history, Jews have been welcomed into many societies in order to boost their economy. When Jews become successful and thrive, they are expelled and move on to other areas. Unfortunately, after WW-II very few nations would accept them -- even the U.S. had a very low quota for Jewish immigration. Israel was the only option left for them -- it wasn't any safer than Europe, but it was their last stand. There are still many people who want to deny them even that one "safe" haven.

Why is it that they have been treated so despicably in Christian cultures? (I know, it wasn't "real" Christians that slaughtered them.) Why is it that Christian cultures commit such atrocities? Why was it that "Saint" Augustine advised Catholics to "let the Jews survive -- but NOT thrive?" Why is it that the Christian gospels teach such hate for the Jews?

Hello Amleth,

Jewish people are not only significant in American culture, but in all cultures, and not in culture only but also other domains (see the number of jewish nobel prize winners).

This is not because of a quota nor because they would be smarter or more cultured.

Imagine you have two dogs at home. One is spoiled and cuddled and can stay on the sofa all day. One has to move from cage to cage, sometimes is forgotten to be fed, sometimes is neglected and spends years running around in the woods.

Which of these two dogs you think will end up stronger or more creative when it comes to survival or knowing the world better outside of the sofa ?

It is simply history. The athlete that has had more obstacles to jump over, is simply a stronger or more creative one.

The Jews who emigrated to America began with nothing, just like other minority groups. If some of them are now successful, it's through hard work.

Possibly because they have had such a tough time throughout history, as a group, Jewish people have been forced to become resourceful and resilient, just in order to survive. Also, they have a very good work ethic, as do many other ethnic groups.

In Germany, prior to WW2, Jews were totally assimilated into society; what you state is totally and utterly wrong and goes against historical, checkable, documented FACT. It is precisely BECAUSE Jews were so assimilated into German society that the events of WW2 and the rise of anti semitism came as a terrible shock.

I think you just answered your own question without realizing it.
You said: "There is some religious requirements quota?" And the answer is "NO". THEREFORE, Jews, like anyone else, can enter any profession that they choose without restriction THUS any question as to why there are more Jews in some professions is meaningless when linked to race or religion.

The Jewish culture respects and encourages learning, and has for thousands of years. Jesus was a carpenter, yet he was taught to read scripture.
