Ha, you're talking Hans Christian Anderson's 'Ugly Duckling'! I know just what you mean because I used to envy the girls of my schooldays who were so pretty - I wasn't ugly, but certainly wasn't pretty either. When I got to be 16+ I guess I must have improved, although I was never confident about my looks. Around that time, an older man made a forecast: he told me that although I was attractive then, I would 'peak' in my 40's. Part way through my 40's I recalled his prediction and..... he was right! When I met a couple of my old schoolfriends in later life, however, I was very surprised to see how they'd outgrown their prettiness and had become quite matronly. So, in answer to your question: firstly, I'll bet you're better looking than you imagine yourself to be (if you've really got emerald eyes, those alone must make you special) and, secondly, I think everyone has a 'prime' time in their lives - very few are lucky enough to be beautiful from cradle to grave. Your time could be your 20's, but it's just as likely to be your 30's or 40's. For my part, I would say that the later it comes, the better you'll age, so it'll be worth waiting for. In the meatime, enjoy life, make the most of what you've got and let your beautiful spirit shine through. Good luck.

There are a lot of changes possible! If you want to look better, you can do it with a healthy diet and exercise. Get professional advice about make-up (little) and hair styles (simple) and pay attention to the way you dress; it will tell people what you feel about yourself. The most important thing is how you feel about yourself! Polish up starting right NOW and by the time you're in the 20's you'll still be shining! Have a wonderful time! Hugs, Gina C.

well I think a lot of the reason people look different is because they know what to do to accentuate their best features - they learn what hairstyle/make-up/clothes etc suit them best and they use this to their advantage. Other people look better because their bodies have grown and developed in a way they hadn't when they were younger.
I remember my mum telling me years ago that women don't really look their best until they're in their 30s and actually now that I'm 30 I think she's right - it takes a long time to realise what suits you best. If you get to know yourself better and what suits you best you will undoubtedly be better looking in a few years time. Enjoy experimenting with different looks and have fun.

Well, I don't know how you look like but hey, as long as you look after yourself, you'll definitely look good by the time you reach 20 and beyond! But never forget, that being beautiful inside also counts, so, don't forget to build that up as well!

Of course! You probably will look much different in your 20's than in your teenager years. Maybe you just haven't blossomed yet. I remember when my friend was around 10-12 years old, she didn't look her best ! But now, she's very pretty.

guess it all depends on how well you take care of yourself, when i was a teenager i looked pretty good but lack of caring for myself has made me over weight and unhappy at times.. and if your happy with yourself your self confidence will show and people will like you because of the attitude not the looks.

Yes you probably will look diff. whern you turn 20. we all constantly change as we get older it's only natural. If you take care of yourself you might look better with age.

Well i guess they do, but not REALLY different. And i guess it can go either way..you can look crappy as a teenager because of spots and stuf then look gorge when your in your 20s. Or you can look lovely when your a teen and then start looking crappy when your older!

lo i think you correct you question makes no sense. because beauty is not depicted through age. its the way you present your self. the manner in which to carry both your personality and appearance. i think you need to start making yourself realized that you are beautiful once that happens every one around you will realize it.
