For some reason, full moons are associated with temporal insomnia, insanity (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behaviour around the time of a full moon. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect.
In one instance, the December 23, 2000 issue of the British Medical Journal published two studies on dog bite admission to hospitals in England and Australia. The study of the Bradford Royal Infirmary found that dog bites were twice as common during a full moon, whereas the study conducted by the public hospitals in Australia found that they were less likely. Psychologists point out that there is a difference between correlation and causation. The mere fact that two events happen at the same time doesn't mean that there is a cause and effect relationship between the two.

Back in the days when I had periods I used to get really horny over the full moon. I've heard similar things from other girls, but I'd never noticed people going crazy before! I'm going to watch out for that now.

The moon brings the tide up, which puts more moisture in the air, slightly dissolving people's medication, making it less effective

The face.
It's kind of eerie to see a face on the moon.
Lol.
I suppose it has to do with the tidal effect--I can't think of anything else.
