If a man keeps silent on a serious matter (like cheating and lying) when he has been found out, what does it mean?

Yes you're right, most people, men and women, don't like to admit they are wrong. Maybe I just want to know what he is thinking when I hear nothing at all from him on the subject. It's crazy. It's like a blank spot, glaringly obvious.

SOME men won't admit being wrong - ever. Some men will if you push the issue, and a few will admit it, as soon as the know it. Just like some women.
For the cheater and liar, it could be several things. It could be he realizes the less he says, the less you have on him. If he says sorry then he's admitting it.
It could be he's worried about saying the wrong thing and making you more angry.
And then there is the possibility that he thinks the less said the sooner its forgotten.
Or he could just not know what to say.
Or worse case scenario - he's concocting more lies and needs time to get them straight in his head.
In any case, you need to decide if you can and will accept it. If not, you may have to fight for more conversation, or pass on this fellow.

That's a HUGE generalization, and the same could be said for some women. I think that in general, PEOPLE don't like to admit when they are wrong. And if someone keeps silent on an issue, it could mean they are guilty and are choosing not to further incriminate themselves, or it could mean that they just don't know how to respond to your accusations.

True, most men don't admit when they are wrong in general because of their EGO. "Me TARZAN, you woman"
In this particular case.are you just suspicious? If not and it is true, it means he is a LIAR, and a CHEATER, and you should throw him out, and move on.
But I know plenty of women, who would not to admit they are wrong, or cheated either. And If she cheated I would advise the man to do the same. Throw her out, and move on.

thats a hard question but my personal experience says that is true cause my husband is that way and I have 4 sons and none of them have admitted when they were wrong ever! On the other hand I have 3 daughters and myself and we are always admitting to stuff and apologizing for it over and over and over so I hate to say it but I believe its true in most cases.

once i talked to my boyfriend about it.we had a big fight about a collegue in his workplace, and she kept calling him all the time and we had a good fight about it,and as usual he kept quiet and in the end i asked him why the hell he also keep himself shut up during a ' conversation' .and what he said actually did make some sense.he said he doesn't want to try and explain, cos iam not gonna believe anything i don't want to,thats wrong! but then he said he didnt want to say anything he will regret lateron, and even when trying to explain its not going to go anywhere,so its pointless to start, if he doesnt want to regret.
