A hair of the dog is the answer.
A few drinks and the hangover goes but if you overdo it then, of course, you are destined for another hangover.

there isnt a cure cure as such.
first understnad what it is.
Alchol among other things is a dieuretic (not sure spelt right)
it causes the system to push the water out. with that anything else that happens to be water soluble. Hence the reason that people wee alot more when drinking. And I suspect the reason as to why it can oft be refered to as being pi**ed.
understanding that it does this - it acan be reasonable to presume then that a hangover therefore is an effect of the continuned condition where far to much in the way of nutrients have been flushed. considering it is very important for the body have them (and throuhg sleep too) this is hilghly likely the cause.
therefore, before sleep you will need to replensh this.
salts, sugars, vitamins, minerals, carbs, protiens and water.
and there are quite alot of diffrent varieties of these that can be found floating in the body, so the greater variation that can be replenshed the better. But in general to replenish those at their basic levels is a great help.
however to replenish after sleep will hasten recovery.
anti-inflammtry based pain killers can also help, such as ibuprofen. as the tissues surronding the brain can become inflamed due to stress placed on them by this occuring. and as you may be aware alchol reduces the blood barrier, so if u are using any other madication, especially those that may have a psycho active effect you may want to be careful with drinking in the first place as alchol can magnify the effect. asprin however tends to thin the blood and may not be too usful as that can serve against you, unless there are over reasons as to why it may be wise to have this. paracetamol removes the lining of the stomach, which doesnt really help much either as we are trying to hasten the re-integration of nutrients. that and neither of these has much effect on inflammation, but does directly on pain via their own mechanisms. and you will most likely find that inflammation and a stiffening of of muscle tissues will be a greater cause on pains you endure namely due to a lacking of elctrolytes and salts in the body.
coffee contains caffine - which is alos a dieuretic, and not really to adviasable - tho it is a stiumulant which promtps adrenaliine which can help you to feel more active which in and of it self can be useful to beat the down feelings of a hangover. It has also been proven to have some pain killing qualitys. Over all I would wait until well rehydrated, and the body is back upto speed.
my analysis so far has proven to be useful in treating it in myself. I hope this helps.

If you know who Dr. Oz is (He is a frequent on Oprah and also an author) here is what he had to say on the Oprah show recently that I thought was interesting....keep in mind, NEVER take tylenol while you drink....this is VERY dangerous and bad for your liver and could cause death.
This info taken from Oprah.com...
Is there a cure for a hangover?
Dr. Oz says avoiding a hangover starts the night before when you are drinking. "You never really want to have alcohol without water next to it. You need the water to flush it through your system. That's pretty simple," he says. "But the alcohol you drink should be the color of water, ideally, as well." Dr. Oz says this is because darker alcohols contain more congeners, which he says are what causes hangovers.
If you wake up with a hangover, Dr. Oz says to eat something—especially eggs. "Eggs are effective because the eggs, in their yolk, have something called N-acetyl-cysteine," he says. "What it really is, is a way of giving your body antioxidants, and those antioxidants are critically important to your liver that's going to battle right now trying to cleanse all the junk that's left over."
Dr. Oz says taking aspirin can help reduce the inflammation caused by drinking. A cup of Joe doesn't hurt either. "Coffee's pretty effective, because alcohol is a depressant. Alcohol takes you down," he says. Unfortunately, when you sleep after drinking alcohol, Dr. Oz says it's not "good sleep." "[Alcohol] just sort of gets you into a sleepy period, and you're depressed all night long. Coffee's a stimulant, so it gets you going again in the morning."
I also remember him mentioniong that you should take a few aspirin....so try this too!!
This is sort of ironic considering my husband is on the couch sleeping right now with a massive hangover....I don't drink too often so I think it is kind of funny...
Good luck and remember WATER, WATER, WATER

Vitamin B complex, vitamin C+E, aspirin, fluids as much as you can drink and as hot a bath as you can stand for as long as possible. Complex proteins and oils also mop up alchohol as well so a fry up is an option too if you can face one.
Raising your body temperature speeds up the breakdown of alchohol as do b vitamins, vitamins c+e give you a temporary lift so you dont feel as bad.
Dont drink tea or coffee as the caffeine will dehydrate you even further.
