i think they have a shot.

in the west the only team that has a chance at getting past them are the dallas mavericks because thats what dallas was built for, to be able to compete with san antonio.. now the problem with dallas is they got so enamored with beating san antonio that they have so many waterloos against teams that arent san antonio, take the golden state series for example.

houston has an outside shot but cmon, without a good point guard and one more scorer they arent going anywhere. and we all know the suns cant beat the spurs, and thatll be sure once they trade marion..

and in the east? the last two champions from that conference are in shambles.. the pistons are going to implode next year whilst the heat are almost done with shaq not being able to compete on a nightly basis (which sucks since he used to be so dominant).

without anyone left to contend i do believe that the spurs have a shot at a repeat.

Probably but it is hard to repeat in this league. Everything has to fall into place. Injuries, officials, and all have a big bearing on things. It would have been much easier this year for the Spurs if they could have got a few breaks from the officials. Oh and not letting Tim Duncan laugh so he gets a technical and thrown out. And not getting Horry suspended for bumping little stevie flop.

the spurs will not win next year, the mavs and suns are on the come-up, also with super stars like kobe, KG, and j.o'neal on the move the power may shift to the east. also with the top 2 draft picks going to the west, the spurs will have a lil more trouble.

No.

They will win it in 2009.

Because the Spurs never repeats. It's their achilles heel.
One of the big 3 will be injured the next season after they won the championship. It happens every year.

I have to say no because every team is growing with young players who are becoming superstars! Even though the cavs lost, LeBron and his Crew got a lot of experience from it and now know how much presure is in the finals. The Spur s are a great team but other teams are growing better.

Somehow the Spurs win championships every two years.

As a Spurs fan I can only hope so. It is very difficult to repeat in this league. Hopefully they can, the odds are in their favor for now.

hard to say...many teams would make adjustments to make their team better...and most of the time teams that won the championship rarely make adjustments...so maybe next year the spurs may meet their match if ever they return to the finals

As of right now, I wouldn't be surprised, but a lot of things can happen during the off-season. Ask me again in October and I'll have a much more educated guess.
