Circumcision does not increase your penis size. In fact, one of the risks is getting a smaller penis if too much skin is removed (since it would be restricted). Dr. Greene describes that here:
http://drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21&action=detail&ref=1125

In addition, it is now clinically proven that circumcision reduces sensitivity, pleasure, and makes masturbation more difficult. Oddly enough, that's how it was promoted in the United States at first, since masturbation was 'bad'. You can see the studies here:

Needless to say, circumcision is becoming a lot less popular. CNN, MSNBC and the major news outlets covered that a week ago. The United States remains the last advanced nation doing it to newborns, and even so, it's now as low as 14% in some states.

As far as STDs go, studies have found both ways. I personally think it varies on your sexual life, if you're with one partner and practice safe sex, you'll be fine. I mean, Europeans and Japanese are uncircumcised and they're not having an STD crisis. However, the United States is the nation with the highest circumcision rates in the industrialized world and we have the highest HIV/AIDS rates. That's using CIA statistics.

Taking something away does not make the original object bigger. That's just common sense. You'll decrease your pleasure a lot if you get cut, though, so if you want to stop enjoying sex so much, circumcision is the way to go.

One more thing -- size is strictly a guy thing. Girls (at least the non-retarded ones who are worth being with) do not care even a little bit about size. Oh, they may admire a big one because they think that's what the owner wants, and girls like to make guys feel good, but for themselves, the size of your penis matters even less than how you cut your toenails or if you have a dimple on your belly button. Get over it - girls are just not concerned with size. If you want to impress another guy, it might matter, I suppose, but if you're straight, just forget about size.

No, this is what it does.

No medical institution in the world actually recommends the practice.
Let's have a look at medical associations in the developed world. The British Medical Association, Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Canadian Paediatric Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, Australian College of Paediatrics and Australasian Association of Paediatric Surgeons. Every one of them recommends AGAINST performing the procedure. Their positions on the procedure can be found here: http://www.circumcision.org/position.htm

Here is a video of the operation. Watch it if you want to learn more. Please do watch it.

It is not just a little snip here and there. Watch the above video of a circumcision in progress.

The foreskin keeps the glans soft and moist and protects it from trauma and injury. Without this protection, the glans becomes dry, calloused, and desensitized from exposure and chafing.
Specialized nerve endings in the foreskin enhance sexual pleasure.
The foreskin may have functions not yet recognized or understood.

"Circumcision removes the most sensitive parts of the penis and decreases the fine-touch pressure sensitivity of glans penis. The most sensitive regions in the uncircumcised penis are those parts ablated by circumcision. When compared to the most sensitive area of the circumcised penis, several locations on the uncircumcised penis that are missing from the circumcised penis were significantly more sensitive." Circumcision removes as much as 75% of sensation [ http://www.nocirc.org/touch-test/bju_6685.pdf ].

The foreskin reduces the force required by the penis to enter the vagina. It also increases the sexual enjoyment of the female partner. Here is a study to back this up: http://www.cirp.org/library/anatomy/ohara/

Performing circumcision on a child can and does result in the deaths of children due to blood loss and/or failure of the immune system.

Approximately 230 American males die every year because of circumcision. [ http://www.sexuallymutilatedchild.org/deathsdo.htm , http://www.cirp.org/library/death/ ] This is a meaningless and very sad loss of life.

It can and does result in very significant scaring.
It can and does result in sexual problems later in life.

Circumcised males have a much higher rate of sexual dysfunction and premature ejaculation. [ http://www.cirp.org/library/sex_function/ ]

You have just removed the foreskin of the penis and the size will not be increased at all. It is now clinically proven that the circumcised male will have less problems with STDs than the circumcised male.

Go to this site and read about the effectiveness of circumcisions in Africa - http://www.kaisernetwork.org/daily_reports/rep_index.cfm?hint=1&DR_ID=38425

Beware of foolish comments such as JORGE and making references to the CIA - just pure foolishness.

The current procedure for doing a circumcision in the US is that they put a little plastic ring around the foreskin of the baby's penis and it falls off because the plastic ring causes no pain. It is easy and it is recommended by most medical societies in the US.

Circumcisions actually decrease the size of the penis and cause desensitization of the glans penis (the head).

Read up on it. There is NO medical reason for it.

Circumcisions only really remove an area of skin, have one will only expose the head. All a circumcision does is remove an area of skin that can trap bacteria and possible cause physical problems with the penis itself, such as a STD.
