Because they have simply been hurt and backstabbed too many times, and have learned that that way is the only way for them... It's horrible I tell you, but it's true, and sometimes the only way for some individual's way of life. xx

Because someone in their life has gained their trust then abused it, or they just prefer not to trust anyone but themselves...

Because they got burned for the last time they could take it (for awhile) and they gave up on people (they will revive if you have the patience to help). IF you don't have unlimited patience, just let it go, like the rest of us. NO Guilt!!! @80) no

bad past experiences...i have trouble trusting a lot ppl and it's because of things that happened in my childhood....
