this is a common problem ken,to fix the screen horizontal and vertical settings press the menu button on the front of the monitor
the using the multi-directional buttons( < > ),you can move the menu until you reach, vertical size and position and horizontal size and position
the size option will expand the size of the display so it will expand the screen from the middle outwards, the position option will move the whole display either vertically or horizontially
when you reach your desired settings you simply press menu once and then menu again to exit the menu
note:there are other options in the menu such as pin-cushion and demagnetize,be careful not to use these
good luck ken!

If it's possible, you can actually rotate the entire monitor temporarily until you right-click on your desktop and click Properties. Look around and find a place where there is Rotation. Uncheck the box that says "Enable Rotation" and you should be fine. Set your monitor upright and everything's all good again.

OK there are certain buttons you push to do this and your dog just happen to step on them. I actually forgot the buttons but its the arrow keys that change the position, plus either the ctrl/alt/shift. a mixture of those keys. you can probably search it on Google.

just right click on the icon (there may be more than one icon listed on your system tray, so just place your mouse pointer over the icons and check for mouse tool tips like "intel". ) listed in the system tray (where your system time is displayed - bottom right corrner of your screen). you will have an option listed to rotate your monitor display. check it out.

Impressive, that's hard to do. The answer I believe lies in your monitors settings themselves. Look for the menu button on the monitor. You should be able to navigate around and find a setting for the rotation of the screen.
