Help, help, help!! Several months ago, I glued my son's school project together, on an unprotected kitchen counter top using "Gorilla Glue".

The next day, I noticed the glue had dried in several visible areas on the counter top.

I have tried scubbing it with a few non-abrasive cleaners to no avail.

This is where you all come in, I have not solved this problem, but I know someone in cyberspace can!

Your expertise is greatly appreciated!

Thank You, Kindly!

What you need to do is get a razor blade and try to cut it off closest to the counter top as possible.

After that I would try a super fine sand paper and some soapy warm water.

Actually, I don't think you will find a good solution for this one. Gorilla Glue is a polyurethane glue. It does not really dry, it cures through a catalytic reaction with water from moisture in the air or on the surface. The reacted glue is extremely solvent resistant. There are some very nasty chemicals that will dissolve it, but they will ruin your top as well.

If you have a laminate top (traditional Formica), you are out of luck. Carefully scrape off what you can with a sharp razor blade, but you will have a bit of residue left until it naturally wears. You will probably wear out the top first.

If you have a solid surface top or some type of stone, it can be sanded off and buffed out.

Sand lightly with 400 grit sandpaper, then gently try Goof Off.
