I wasn't the only straight person there but I can honestly say I had a great time.
I also been to gay clubs with my exgirlfriend..she is lesbian but I wasn't intimidated by anyone.
Gay people aren't that bad....I think Dragqueens keep the party going!

Drag Queens ROCK!
lol sorry, it had to be said.
I'm glad you had fun :D Gay pride can be a blast with the right company.
As for the close-minded, I don't know. There are so many factors that it all becomes a jumble after a while.
I'll keep hugging them until they give up.
Peace :D

Thanx sweetheart for those kind words.
Without DragQueens like myself, a gay parade would never exist.

I dont know why people are so close minded. I am a self professed fag-hag. I am very strait as well, but have many gay male friends. I have always had a blast at the gay clubs too-drag shows are awesome. Maybe some people just feel threatened by their own sexuality.

yea, I agree that many peopel are very closedminded. Most of thema re so because they are scared. They are afraid of this "new" counter culture, becuase we oppose things they KNOW to be true. Boys liek girls, girls wear dresses, blah blah blah. To contradict those things they learned early on in life is scary to them.

I think a big part of it is the negitive sterotype of gay men. The world veiws gay men as loud, flamboyant, and extreemly feminine. Many gays supposrt this sterotype because they get pushed into beign this way by their own gay community. If we all stopped fallign into so many social sterotypes, those super-straight folks who are closed minded would amybe see that there really IS no difference at all between them and us.

Closed-mindedness is all aobut fear, a fear that we encourage, unknowingly.

Yes, drag-queens certainly ARE colorful characters, and hangin' out with the homos can certainly be a HOOT! I don't think I'm "closed minded" in the least; however, there IS a flip-side here, at least for ME. See, now that everyone and his uncle are all "coming out" in DROVES, it seems straight men have become an endangered species! This is NOT happy news for straight, single WOMEN, like me!!!!

Haven't been to a a Gay Pride Parade.... but have been to gay restaurants and clubs.... Not a problem!!! Even was asked if my best friend and I were lesbians.... No judgements there!!! lol

Yup Drag Queens can be fun!

100% agree with you. I enjoy being around gay people because I know they've had to go through some adversity to be who they are, and I have so much admiration for that.

People fear what they don't know. You can see that it has happened lots of times throughout history. Gay people will eventually be accepted and people will realize that they are just as human and just as good as everyone else. It'll just take time.

people are close-minded because it's easy to be close minded.I actually think guys who are straight and comfortable enough with their own masculinity or be friends with gay people are more of a man then the close-minded guys.

I guess they are insecure or it goes against their Religion, which I think sometimes is also used as an excuse for their insecurities..
