This question has been asked before. Polls & Surveys is the best category for events that never happened in History. Thanks for the thumbs down - you can go back to watching '300' now.

Easily Sparta. They had wheeled chariots, which the Aztecs didn't. They had iron; the Aztecs didn't. They had a more sophisticated grasp of military strategy. But the biggest advantage was horses, which gave a speed and mobility that humans can't match.

Depends on where and when they would do battle. The Aztecs were more numerous and more advanced -- by more than a thousand years -- than the Spartans. I would not bet against the Spartans protecting their homeland but I don't think they would have done very well in Mexico. Sparta could have won two out of three at home but they would have been swept on the road.

Well thats kind of odd..but first of all contrary to what most people think Sparta was not all pure military for its entire being in history in fact it had reletaively short glory era compare to that of other greek cities... but nevertheless presuming we have top class spartans and top class aztecs well

1) Both Aztecs and Spartans were extremely superstitial so their decision there may affect the battle

2) Both were extremely brave and agressive fighters

3) Spartans fought with some military tactic and fought in the open (meaning gurriela warfare was uncomon) whereases the Aztec would be more inclined to an all out charge or gurrila warfare..

4) Spartans were well armed and well trained heavy infantry( the 300 movie was bull **** when it came to armor they did not charge in to battle with a cape, helmet, armored skirt, and a shield. They at the veryleast had a breastplate.. Aztec were light infantry wearing animal clothing.... I guess if it was infantry vs. infantry only with equal numbers the training of the spartans may give them the advantage and while the aztecs more poorley armed it means the can jump around with much more agility then there spartan opponent......i dont know i guess...you decide with the info. i gave...

The Spartans would probably win due to the fact that the Spartans were an agrarian society who had domesticated animals and so developed the diseases other Europeans did. This was the most lethal factors European explorers brought with them when they landed in mesoamerica. the Aztec would have been devastated by the communicable diseases the Spartans have. additionally, the Aztec armor consisted of cotton soaked in salt water to make it stiff, mostly stone, bone and wood weapons, and a light shield. The Spartans had bronze weaponry which would protect and holdup better in a battle.
