I go to a school that specialize in Science and Medicine. Our school program has an extra three weeks of school and all students are required to do an end of the school year project that will affect our final grades.
I'm not feeling much of a "smartypants" right. I have some ideas to fall back on if i don't think of any other better ones. But I feel they are kind of boring and plain. They are: researching different careers in science, or studying how science have affected the world.

Oh, also could you specify what type of project tye it should be, ex: powerpoint, paper, poster.

Thank you so much to whoever take the time to read this.

I would do a simple Power Point presentation of
"before" and "after" slides, with 5 or more historic events or discoveries in science and medicine that changed lives or the world.
==============================
Rough examples:
* Before Penicillin, how people treated or died of diseases, and how the process changed afterwards.

* When the doctor who first suggested that surgeons wash their hands between operations, how microscopes proved his theory correct, and how that changed medicine.

* Organ transplants, and the success and survival rate now compared to previous years.

* Cancer detection and treatment, and the increase in survival rates

etc.

Also: It would be interesting to show how many different "areas" where science and medicine have made a significant difference or contribution. Example: Effect on environment/wildlife/ecosystems (such as breeding endangered animals to increase populations); contributions to astronomy and aeronautics (testing and training to endure extended stays in space without gravity; also scientific advances in satellites, photography, robotics); renovations in criminal justice (DNA testing, forensic research); mental health treatment (medications, psychological therapy, recovery and healing); international relations or global outreach (expanded communication, travel, technology and resources to serve more populations around the world, and to initiate productive relations between people in different countries) -- see "Doctors Without Borders" as an excellent example of medical outreach and the effect it has on the world that transcends the political and economic divide.

Both of the subjects which you are considering are much too broad for a paper to be completed in 3 weeks. Narrow your focus. Some suggestions:
New materials for old highways;
Body parts used in donations;
The expanding role of the nurse practicioner;
Smallpox immunization results since its inception;
Who first made plastic? Why? (you will enjoy this one--it's neat and fun--and surprising!)
Creditentials required to register in medical school? school of veternarians?
Differences in psychistry, psychology, psycho-therapy.
That should get you started. Hurry!

Bonfire, burn the school down, that will effect your grades and while you're in prison you won't have to think about education.
