Well Maria, I don't know if he is involved with sports or music or.....I still suggest that you find out what the boy really wants to aspire to do....I mean really look into this. Otherwise, I suggest I fitness membership, any acting classes, anything that promotes his musical abilities. You obviously care about him, show it in how you can help him achieve he goals. I know that you will make the right choice. Take care.

first off don't think that $200 is a small amount, that is a lot to get for your birthday. And second go to the store and look at video games that you would like or ask for a gift card from that store so when there is a game you want you can buy it.

Take it from me i'm 15, It matters what he likes, if he is a:

Emo: A CD of his favorite Band, or tickets to Warp Tour.
Jock: Tickets to his favorite sport team. or sport equipment.
Musician: That book were you write music. (sorry forgot the name of it), instrument tools, or a book that has a list of many different songs he can play.
Academic: A good book.
Gamer: A new video game
Player: Condoms :P jk.

Just study his personality or just ask him what he wants :P. I'm sure it will come to you in time.

If you want a boyfriend so bad, then I highly recommend following this https://bitly.im/aOlk8 Since you've never dated or been kissed before, it's going to be hard to get a boyfriend if you don't know what to do but once you know what to do, you'll be able to get a boyfriend pretty easily and can share your dating stories with your friends and experience those feelings yourself. You'll even be able to attract guys you might feel is out of your league. I suggest going on a bunch of dates before choosing one guy to be your boyfriend. Have fun.

Reminds me of a joke.
Their son was turning 15. They had no idea what to get him. Everything that came to mind, something told them NO, keep searching. Finally they get a brilliant idea - Why not just ask him?
So they call him in. The dad says, "son, your b-day is coming up. We have no idea what to get you. What would you like for your b-day?"
The kid thinks for a moment then replies, "A watch."
So they let him.

OK seriously.
IF as parents you have no idea what matters to him, then ask his friends about things he wants. [I do NOT mean that as the parents are not good parents. Meant it more as sometimes it is the friends who know what excites the kid at that time in life.]

Giftcard to a music store
Money
CD's you know he'd like
Computer accessories
Clothes if you know his size/style

If you know him well it'll be easy, but I think a giftcard would be the best idea...never the wrong size or color! Or better yet, ask HIM or his mother for ideas. Good luck!
