the programming routine is very simple. You can program up to 3 remotes using the following procedure. It works best if you have the removes detached from your key chain. You will need to sit in the driver's seat with the doors closed so that the doors will lock.

1) put the ignition key in the ignition.
2) turn the ignition key to ON so that the lights on the instrument panel come on. (you don't need to start the car)
3) press any button on the remote within 3 seconds of the warning lights coming on
4) turn the ignition key to the LOCK position so that everything is OFF
NOTE: steps 1 through 4 must be completed within 10 seconds or you will exit the programming mode

5) repeat steps 1-4 three more times.

On the 4th time you should hear the locks click in response to pressing the button on the remote. if you have a second remote, use the remote you are programming to open and lock the doors then use the other one to do the same. both remotes will then be programmed.

that should work.

hope that helps

The horn should honk if the lock button is pressed twice, if it doesn't,try unplugging the hood switch. There is a micro-switch in in the hood latch that gets full of dirt and grease and fails. The security system sees the hood is open and won't set the alarm, so the horn won't honk even though the doors lock.

unless you want to waste like 4+ hours of your day trying to install the system, you should take it into a professional car audio shop to have them do it. it's well worth the extra money and it will save you a lot of time, and time is money.
