I am a !00% metal head. I've always liked metal, and I always will. I've liked heavy metal music for well over 25+ years. The faster, the better. When people hear what I like or are by my desk and hear my music, some people just plain get upset, and storm off. I don't have over half of the song titles to my music, if it's fast and loud, I like it. I really don't care what the song is called, or the lyrics.

They always ask me, how can you understand what they're saying, you can't understand the words, etc, etc. I like music, not what they're saying. Some of the best concerts I've been to were by bands that didn't have vocals (Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen), to name a few.

I don't understand some people actually get so upset. I personally don't like a lot of other type music, but everybody is different. If you like one kind, that's fine with me, but why does it seem like some people get upset at what I listen to? Is it just because it's metal?

People will always be prejudiced and i think that they are so boxed that it is extremely hard for them to accept another style of music. metal requires some passion and deep understanding of the music. the music is associated with crazy people and drugs and this is what others usually think of the person. so, just accept that people are ignorant and don't really give a ****. if that's what you like to listen then that's what you should listen to. it is that simple

Ignore them, people who cant accept your taste of music should not be around you in the first place. However if you are at work, you might want to invest on earphones..lol and if you need your ears for your work, just put it in one ear. I need music at work, usually when im on my 8 to 9th hour already. It's my stress relief. I can still listen to call lights and phones or people talking or asking me questions, if they need undivided attention, then i turn it off. so yeah, forget those judgmental a**holes who are judging ur taste for ur music. You are who u are and if that's what u enjoy..just keep enjoying it.

Maybe you have it to loud, other than that, they are just losers. BTW, it's spelled Yngwie F***ing Malmsteen.

Yes.
Usually that music style is just...repulsive, and tasteless.
Only the melodic stuffis good to me, and I don't even like THAT much.
so well...keep on doing what your doing.
